What I object to is the Tories pretending that a 5% cut is somehow a great sacrifice for someone earning £10,000s in outside interests. Tories "leading the way" seems carry an underlying subtext that everybody in the public sector will have to face a 5% cut in wages. I certainly don’t think they are underpaid.
