I’m a Liberal Democrat activist and Hebden Royd Town Councillor in the Calder Valley, West Yorkshire.
I’m usually quite busy:
- Father of two – A four-year-old and an under-one
- Husband to former Independent Hebden Royd Town Councillor Joanna Beacroft-Mitchell
- Company Director – Liberati Ltd. (Quietly ticking over)
- Mayor of Hebden Royd Town Council 2009-2010
- Branch Treasurer – Upper Calder Valley Liberal Democrats
- Committee member of numerous local organisations
- Sporadic blogger on account of the above
I was born in North Yorkshire and brought up near Beverley, East Yorkshire.
Spent three years in enemy territory (Lancashire) studying Law at the University of Lancaster and a year at the University of Sheffield doing a Masters in Political Journalism.
I made Mytholmroyd my home in 5BC (Before Children) when I moved here with Jo.
Started my business, Liberati, here in 2005.
